Today is the 44th anniversary of the first human to step onto the moon. I’m disappointed that there’s no moon base yet, and it doesn’t look likely in my lifetime.

A Chinese proverb says an invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, despite the time, the place, despite the circumstances. The thread can be tightened or tangled, but never be broken.

I’ve loved Laurie Anderson since I first heard her music, lo many years ago, back in the early 80′s. She’s also a fine artist, and gives a wonderful speech.
